Boxes In A Delaware Basement: Double Standards Edition
Discussion of legalities & Presidential Records brought to mind a Senior Delaware Senator and 40 years of missing records before a POTUS campaign
Evening folks!
Well, seeing as it seems the old Duke Trump's got himself in more trouble than a Junebug in molasses, we all are settin’ at the edge of our seats, just-a-waitin’ to see how our favorite rapscallion is gon' git himself outta this here new mess! He fought the law, and I know it seems like its gonna be the law that bests him, but, hey folks, we all know Old Duke Trump always gets the better of them ol’ mean Lawmen troublemakers, when the dust gets to settlin’! I reckon I can hardly wait to see what he's got in store for them ol’ loonies!
Well yeah, anyway the entire farce of this week's premiere news event struck up a thought: What the hell ever happened to those Biden records? Did anyone ever get closer to getting them released? What might have been in them that caused Biden's camp to push so hard to keep them in that Delaware university basement, and if we were going to see them, what kind of dirty tricks would they pull to prevent that?
As it turns out, there's an ongoing story that has recent developments associated with those boxes of Joe Biden's Senatorial papers, but for the uninitiated let’s start from the top. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of you had no idea of what I’m talking about - the Democrats and the media machine expertly memory holes all discussion of the topic mid-way into his Presidential campaign.
Let’s introduce Tara Reade. No, not that Tara Reid! This Tara Reade. More of a ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding’ look. Well anyhow, she accused Joe Biden of sexual assault back in 1993. She was a Congressional staffer at the time and claimed (and continues to claim) Biden pushed her up against a hallway wall Capitol building and said and did naughty things. She didn't pursue the issue at the time, beyond a complaint she said to have filed with the relevant Congressional authorities. This is where it gets interesting, so we'll pause and link to this video detailing the whole timeline:
Now, Biden repeatedly implored the news folk to check the records! So they did and wouldn’t you know? There is nothing in the official Congressional record. But wait now: it wouldn’t be there, if a complaint on Biden was filed it would be with Biden's Senate records.
And where are they?
Here’s a stellar MSNBC interview with Biden, I implore you to watch it and make note of his body language when drilled down on the accusation:
So, for the first time in U.S. history there's a Presidential nominee (and now President) with a career in public service that has NOT allowed the media access to his records. Never before until Biden, is there anything about this whole thing that hasn't been weird? What else might he not have wanted the media to get their hands on, that’s buried in those 1850 boxes at Uni of Delaware?
Having learned what we now know regarding Hunter as well as Ashley's diary, along with other footage of Joe over the years not passing the *ahem* smell test, those records might’ve been vital to determining the outcome of 2020 had they been released.
Judicial Watch and Daily Caller in cooperation filed a FOIA back in 2020 that has bounced around the Delaware courts for an eternity. But, there's recent news!

45 days, eh? Well, its not exactly an order to release all the documents immediately, but perhaps the relevant watchdog groups could at least get a look at some specific records that they filed for.
Upon returning to this topic to do research, I was surprised to find a lot of updates to the related Wiki about Tara Reade and the whole incident. All of a sudden there are now long passages regarding her credibility and the story over the years. Interviews with her co-staffers from the time period who do not recall hearing about the alleged crime or noticing anything unusual. Co-workers recalling her as being inundated and overwhelmed by the workload, and leaving the job soon after due to that and some sort of medical issue. Statements regarding potential fibs she told about receiving a Bachelor's and working at jobs that claim no record of her. Citations about various journalists that interviewed her and their perception of her and her story, divided in their opinion of whether or not she was credible. At the time I first dug into it before the 2020 Election, no such Wikipedia entries existed, and I found it a struggle to locate much of any information about the incident or Biden's records. Strange that all this sourcing and fact finding regarding her credibility seems to have surfaced after the media buzz about it died down a touch - my guess is publicly doubting the alleged victim of a guy who goes with “believe all women” as his mission statement would’ve been a little too hypocritical even for Biden! Better to smear and defame from the sidelines, or better yet, just softball him and let him deny it and barely check into the veracity of the claims (the boxes in Delaware would come in handy) and when you’re stonewalled by the candidate's refusal to allow his access to any of his records, politely give up and assume his honesty.
What amazes me a bit is that all of this drama played out before so much other dirt was unearthed. Hunter's laptop, Bobulinsky's testimonial, the “big guy" email, all the hair sniffing kiddie tickling weirdness caught on tape, the Ashley Biden diary bombshell about showers with Pop, hell even PedoPete — hasn’t some Ronan Farrow idolizing young bright eyed journalism grad looked all the way back to 2.5 years ago and connected Tara Reade and the sealed records to these current inquiries? It is yet another testimonial to how completely corrupt our mainstream media is that NO ONE has found those 40 years of records being sealed, not available for reference or study, to be a major problem. They buried the whole issue before the election and now, even as the Biden presidency has descended into full clown world, still none beyond the conservative legal watchdogs has any interest in looking at a 40 year history of his career in records to see what might be gleaned. The media has been assimilated by the permanent Washington class, this is another example of the end product of that.
Tara Reade is still out there however, telling her story and participating in the conversation, just like Juanita Broadrick, Rose McGowan, Virginia Guiffre and so many more nameless victims. We should hope that one day they will be given the justice that they so richly deserve, and yet so few have recieved, due to a power structure that protects the predators, like — yes, it’s quite likely — Biden.
